Rejuvenate Your Hands On The Jersey Coast
The hands don’t lie. Saggy skin, age spots, surface veins, wrinkles — they’ll all give away your true age, or even add a few years if the sun damage is extreme. At Dr. Philip LoBuono General & Cosmetic Dermatology, we offer hand rejuvenation treatment to keep your hands looking their best.
How Does Hand Rejuvenation Work?
olume loss in the hands is corrected by Dr. LoBuono with use of the dermal filler Radiesse. Radiesse an opaque gel, injected into the back of the hands. It restores areas of volume loss and diminishes the appearance of veins and tendons. In approximately 10 minutes, a single rejuvenation treatment with Radiesse provides the patient immediate volume correction in their hands. The volumizing effect of Radiesse lasts approximately a year.

What Concerns Can Hand Rejuvenation Treat?
Hand rejuvenation corrects the effects of photo aging, brown spots (lentigoes), and loss of volume and elasticity on the back of the hands. Our hand rejuvenation treatments can dramatically reduce the wrinkles on your hands. Dr. LoBuono can also remove damaged skin, dull skin, and lessen the appearance of age spots and surface veins. The result of a rejuvenation treatment will be improved color and skin tone on your hands.
What Is Involved In A Hand Rejuvenation Procedure?
There are different methods and treatment options for hand rejuvenation; these will be discussed by Dr. LoBuono during your initial consultation in Monmouth County, New Jersey. These treatment options include:
- Fillers
Just like facial fillers, hand fillers are injected directly into the hands in multiple sites. The goal is to augment and fill in areas where volume has decreased, allowing wrinkles to form. Radiesse is commonly used to add volume to the back of the hands, giving them a supple, younger appearance. Hyaluronic acid fillers may also be used in hand rejuvenation. - IPL Hand Rejuvenation
Hand rejuvenation utilizes Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to destroy abnormal cells and invigorate healthy tissue. IPL also promotes collagen growth, fills in scars, reduces brown spots, and gives the skin a youthful glow. - Chemical peels
Superficial chemical peels use fruit-based glycolic acids to remove damaged surface skin and encourage its replacement with healthy skin.
How Many Hand Rejuvenation Treatments Are Needed?
Two rejuvenation treatments are usually required, three weeks apart at our Spring Lake office for the best results.
Hand Rejuvenation Recovery
Immediately after a hand rejuvenation treatment, your hands may appear swollen, stiff, and bruised. Dr. LoBuono advises his Monmouth County, NJ patients to keep their hands clean, apply ice to the affected areas, and stay out of the sun to promote healing. After your hands have healed from rejuvenation, they will look and feel younger.
